Baylee lights up a room with her smile and big brown eyes, she is the sweetest girl who loves princesses and animals.

Baylee was originally diagnosed when she was 7 months old, she went from a happy baby to a very withdrawn, grumpy baby. A week before she was diagnosed, I took her to a urgent care who told me she was teething and gave Tylenol, a few days later we saw her pcp and she sent me straight to the hospital for labs. 

Being an infant going through chemo she handled most of it pretty well, besides steroids. When she was done with the intense part of treatment and was put on oral maintenance chemo, she started to struggle. She stopped eating and needed a feeding tube, her gross motor skills were very far behind. The chemo and steroids caused a lot of muscle weakness and pain. She didn’t walk until she was 2.5. 

I had to quit my job to be her full time caregiver. She was off treatment for 7 months when we found out she has relapsed with no symptoms but a fever.
 
Going through treatment with a toddler has been different in some ways, she can’t tell me how she’s feeling. She’s mobile now and understands a lot more. She is very smart for her age. She has completed a round of chemo that put her into remission and now she’s on an immunotherapy and will have a bone marrow transplant in the near future.
