My son was diagnosed with ALL in August of 2017. Before he was diagnosed, he cried, had lots of pain, and passed out. I took him to the ER and they initially told me it was a breath-holding spell. Once they took blood work they discovered he was critically low on white blood cells, platelets, and red blood cells. They also found blasts in his blood, all typical signs of leukemia.
He has gone through 22 lumbar punctures, neuropathy from vincristine, and lots of oral chemo pills. We try to keep things as normal as possible but it’s hard. Tripp has an older sister that has been amazing through these past few years allowing us to focus on him.
He finished treatment in October of 2020 and we couldn’t be more happy!
