Robert (Robby) is a sweet, fun and kind boy. We love him more than anything in the world.
We received the first devastating diagnosis of Leukemia when he was only an infant and spent six months inpatient receiving experimental treatments. It did not work and within a short time the infant leukemia returned stronger than before.
Doctors did not give us much hope at the time but did the impossible to get him into a second remission. Once a second remission was achieved, he received a life-saving stem cell transplant.
Things have not been easy for us as we were relatively young at diagnosis and did not have much to begin with. Life is still busy as we are “catching up” in many aspects of life, including careers. What keeps us grounded is our love for Robby. We appreciate each day as we know how blessed we are to have him with us. Robby is a true joy to be around. He is now seven years old and has a little sister, Victoria.
