Michael’s journey began in February 2016 with his diagnosis of AML. He fought it then and now he will fight it again. He has relapsed on June 8, 2018, but the AML has mutated to a different variation called APML. Michael will be going through a bone marrow transplant within the next few weeks. While this type is treatable and “highly curable” the treatment plan is long and will be difficult at times.
