Daniel is very sarcastic and funny. He lights up the room with good conversation and a well placed sarcastic comment. He loves robotics and biology, legos, drawing, and video games. He misses having friends and normalcy.

Daniel was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in September of 2018. Swelling from a cut in Daniel’s mouth from his braces eventually led to his diagnosis. Nothing too odd or crazy, we just thought maybe it was an infection when it didn’t resolve after a few days.

Daniel has had more chemotherapy than I can count along with spinal taps, biopsies, blood transfusions, physical and occupational therapy. Daniel’s mobility issues keep him from being a normal teen. He has missed his entire junior year of high school. He also has neuropathy and has trouble walking due to chemotherapy.

Treatment has taken its physical toll but has drained all of us physically, emotionally, and financially.
