On January 1st, Charlotte started showing signs of what to us looked like a stomach virus. When no one else got sick and she didn’t get better with more symptoms, we took her to the pediatrician and then the ER. They said it was constipation. Three weeks of these symptoms and nothing helped. We decided to see a GI specialist. She sent us to the ER for the 3rd time and we had a CT scan which showed a mass on her brain. The next day we were flown to CHOP and had the tumor removed. She finished her 33rd proton treatment in April, the day before her 3rd birthday.
It’s been a very stressful emotional few months. We have 2 other children and it’s hard on them too.
