Charlotte was born on the UAE Abu Dhabi and grew up with sun sea and camels. She loves to play in the park, have fun at school and swim in the pool.
Charlotte was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when she was 3 years old and she finished the treatment when she was 5 years old.
During this time she had so much fun at school, learned to swim underwater and adored playing with her brother.
Unfortunately, Charlotte’s leukemia relapsed very shortly after she finished her treatment. She required car t therapy and a bone marrow transplant.
This took Charlotte and us to Philadelphia, where we have been living and receiving treatment for over 18 months. During this time Charlotte has loved to play in the beautiful playgrounds, welcomed a baby sister, splashed in the water parks, took walks to the river and enjoyed eating lots of pizza.
Charlotte’s leukemia has not responded to treatment and we now prepare to take Charlotte home forever.
We are thankful for the support and love from the UAE and the USA which has surrounded Charlotte and our family.
Charlotte passed away on December 3rd, 2019.

Charlotte was the most incredible little girl, who blessed everyone around her with an immense amount of joy. I feel truly honored to have known her and to have witnessed the joy and love that existed in her family. It’s been captured perfectly in these photographs, such a gift to us all.
I had the pleasure of meeting Charlotte and her wonderful mummy in Abu Dhabi . I’ll remember my daughter Ruth’s ( Charlottes teacher) stories of her at school .
