Benjamin spent his infant years as a healthy baby meeting all his milestones. Benji had an instant onset of seizures and was rushed to the ER to confirm a mass on his brain that was nearly 30% of his brain. Shortly after we learned the cancer had already spread and metastasized throughout his spine. Benji was given a 1% chance of survival rate and just as we reached his 5th birthday he was diagnosed with a secondary cancer of the thyroid.
Benji has spent the past 5yrs learning to thrive as a cancer fighter and survivor. Benji has many delays and side effects from the chemo and surgeries but he continues to keep being the little fighter he is has proven to be. For this, we call him Super Benji!
Our family will never be the same and our child will never be the same but we continue to thrive and push through to find the light at the end of the tunnel!
