Grace was diagnosed with fibrolamellar carcinoma on June 12, 2025. In the weeks leading up to her diagnosis, her family started to notice a few subtle shifts. Her liver enzymes were elevated, she seemed more tired than usual, and she lost interest in some of the activities she normally enjoyed.

Since then, Grace has been through so much. She’s had a liver ultrasound, MRI with a special head wrap for her cochlear implants, a liver biopsy, multiple blood draws, and CT scans. On June 23, she underwent a major surgery—a right hepatectomy to remove the right side of her liver and her gallbladder. Right now, she is still recovering and has to hold off on swimming and playing sports until her incision fully heals.

Cancer has changed life for Grace and her family, but they are standing strong together. Through it all, they are embracing every moment and finding joy in the time they share. Their love for one another is steady and powerful, and it shows in the way they face each new challenge as a team.

Grace is the kind of kid who lights up a room. She is outgoing, joyful, and filled with determination. Life has thrown some big challenges her way, but she faces them head on with a can do attitude. She works hard, dreams big, and makes everyone around her feel valued. She loves Ghost Spider, Paw Patrol, playing baseball, coloring, and getting creative with crafts.

Grace was also born profoundly deaf and now wears cochlear implants to hear. It’s just one more example of her strength and resilience. She is a happy, bright soul who brings light and laughter wherever she goes.

Grace, you are a true fighter and a joy to this world. We are cheering for you every step of the way.
